If your idea of heaven is cupcakes on demand 24/7, I’ve found your people.

In Las Vegas, Sprinkles Cupcakes have an ATM which will automatically dispense cupcakes on demand.  With a bank of 600 cupcakes to draw from, you can be pretty sure your favourite flavour is going to be there when you need it.

Sprinkles stores are located throughout the USA at 17 locations, although not all outlets have ATMs. Check the website to see if you are going to be lucky.

The Las Vegas store is located just off the strip on the mall that leads to the High Roller, next to the LINQ Hotel. It’s a busy place with restaurants offering all types of food including fish and chips from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay.

ATM offers cupcakes on demand

The ATM operates efficiently and my cupcake was dispensed without a hitch.  The cupcake was dense and moist, obviously recently cooked.

I’ve been searching for the perfect cupcake since they first came to prominence about eight years ago.  I can’t say this is the best one I’ve tasted, although it would be close, but this is the most novel and efficient distribution system I’ve seen.  I’m glad I don’t live close otherwise I could see it as the perfect late night sugar hit destination. The icing was pretty spectacular and that is always a bonus.

Some, but not all flavours (notably my favourite salted caramel flavour) are available as cupcake kits so you can enjoy the Sprinkle experience at home.

The flavour range instore varies but they do make some pretty spectacular flavours including chocolate marshmallow, triple cinamon and banana peanut butter.  Wouldn’t you like to try some of those!

And there’s more

Sprinkles also offers ice cream, but not through ATMs.  Favors include red velvet, cap’n crunch and salty caramel along with cookie flavors such as salted oatmeal cornflake and peanut butter pretzel chip.

There’s a Sprinkles cookbook and a cupcake kit in an easy to take home cylinder, which I do.
