Rejoice in the name of G&T, your dreams have come true with the opening of a secret new gin bar in Brisbane.

Featuring approximately 115 gins from Australia and overseas, Swill, a new inner-city bar hidden amongst the Welcome to Bowen Hills laneway, will have gin lovers rushing to try their long list of drinks.

Welcome to Bowen Hills is Brisbane’s first permanent food truck park and bar and is located opposite Brisbane’s Showgrounds. Occupying the old Ekka Sugar Pavilion, Swill is now serving up some of the best gins from around the world.

Award-winning director Alexander Lotersztain from Derlot Interiors is the man behind Swill’s moody décor.  It’s a world of intimate candlelit booths and an outdoor space combined with an intoxicating dose of Ekka nostalgia.

Gin bar for connoisseurs

Swill is a spot for sophisticated sipping slightly removed from the central hub of Welcome to Bowen Hills.

Fancy a gin and tonic with a side of chilli? Do you prefer your G&Ts with strawberry and pepper or maybe rosemary and lemon?

Swill’s menu dedicates a page to the various gins on offer which includes Adelaide Hills Distillery’s Green Ant Gin, Animus Distillery’s Ambrosian gin, Patient Wolf gin and Kew Organic Gin by the London Distillery Company and suggests garnishes for each. Whatever your preference, they are paired perfectly and definitely go down too easily.

What are you waiting for? It’s almost gin-o-clock and Swill’s doors are officially open.
