E’cco, Newstead

Wave Goodbye to 2018 and ring in 2019 with an exclusive menu by Philip Johnson and head chef Gert Pretorius. For e’cco’s first NYE at Haven Newstead, indulge in a menu of seared foie gras, wood fire octopus and pork fillet with grilled peach.  As well as seared tuna with smoked almond puree, pastrami brisket and to finish, a cherry jubilee.  Add the optional wine pairing or select from their well thought out wine and cocktail menu. Two sittings from 5:45 pm to 7.45 pm and 8:30 pm to 11:30 pm.

Howard Smith Wharves

Greca

Greca has two sittings on New Year’s Eve. There will be an early sitting from around 5:30pm for the early fireworks and a second sitting from around 8:30pm for the midnight fireworks. Diners will enjoy a special banquet menu which includes their saganaki, taramasalata, baked lamb shoulder and a glass of Laurent Perrier La Cuvee Champagne with the fireworks.

Dinner by the River

With a glass of Veuve Clicquot on arrival, relax with dinner on a riverfront deck by the Brisbane River this New Year’s Eve from 6:00pm-1:00am. Parklands Picnic

A place to celebrate that suits singles, couples, families and groups of all ages, the Parkland Picnic is a custom-built space for a New Year’s celebration to remember from 5:00pm-12:00am. With live music, roaming performers, kids’ entertainment and fireworks, this is the best place to welcome in 2019. A range of packages are available, including Parkland Pairs, where you can get cosy on a loveseat on the riverside stairs, Parkland Picnic Blankets or the Parkland Picnic Tables (available for groups of 8 or more), as well as tickets to The Arcade – where over 1000m2 of arcade games, rides and activities are sure to keep the kids entertained.

Frock up and rock up to say hello to 2019 with a chic picnic on the lawn under the stars, with delicious food and drink, live music, roving performers and fireworks from 5:00pm-1:00am. Enjoy a welcome box of local cheeses, prosciutto, house-made terrine, crudities and dip and a freshly baked baguette, or visit one of the food trucks curated by Howard Smith Wharves’ Director of Culinary, David Finlayson. With Moët and Chandon, Mr Percival’s and Felons Brewing Co. pop-up bars all on offer, sit back and relax with a drink and enjoy the fireworks from one of the best views in Brisbane.

Welcome the New Year in style at Mr Percival’s, Brisbane’s hottest new overwater bar from 6:00pm-2:00am. A ticket to Mr Percival’s New Year’s celebrations gains you uninterrupted views of the city and fireworks across the river, along with entertainment by Niki de Saint, supporting DJ’s and live instrumentalists. The menu is courtesy of Howard Smith Wharves Executive Chef Patrick Friesen with Ruinart champagne on offer.

Persone, Brisbane Quarter

New Year’s Eve Cocktail Party with a fantastic riverside vista at Persone from 8pm with views of the 8:30pm fireworks and midnight fireworks. Expect canapés and a four-hour beverage package that includes house spirits, wine, prosecco and beer.

Three Blue Ducks

You will have a great view of New Year’s Eve fireworks over South Bank at 8.30pm and midnight from Three Blue Ducks. For families and early birds, the first sitting is a three-course dinner and glass of sparkling on arrival. The later sitting offers a four-course dinner and four-hour beverage package.

W Brisbane

The Wet Deck at W Brisbane has a rooftop pool party that will give you a front row seat to the two firework displays on the Brisbane River.  This is a cocktails and canapes event.

South Bank

Bacchus, Grey Street

Bacchus Restaurant’s New Year’s Eve Degustation is a little bit classy. Head Chef Massimo Speroni has designed a flavour-filled four-course degustation menu using only the finest local ingredients while Head Sommelier Andrew Giblin has paired the perfect wines. There’s always the option of the Sommeliers Private selection from the award-winning wine list.

There are two sittings – 6 pm and 8 pm, with the latter kicking on later for those wanting to see in the new year.

New Year’s Eve 2019 at The Terrace, located on the 21st floor of Emporium Hotel South Bank, will undoubtedly be one to remember, with incredible sweeping views over the Brisbane River and city; this will be the ultimate viewpoint to marvel at South Bank’s spectacular NYE firework display.  Tickets include a five-hour premium beverage package, a selection of substantial canapes and live entertainment.

Treasury Hotel

Enjoy a money can’t buy New Year’s Eve experience on the top-level terrace of the iconic Treasury Hotel with an intimate view of the river, QPAC, the city and the midnight fireworks from 10.00pm – 1.00am. The three-hour package includes the Dom Pérignon Champagne, Hennessy cocktails, Cloudy Bay Wines, an oyster bar, savoury and dessert stations and a live DJ. Only 50 tickets are available.

Eat your way into the new year at this new city venue with a four-course dinner. Enjoy a signature cocktail or glass of Ruinart R on arrival and live music throughout the dinner.

Alchemy Restaurant & Bar

Enjoy full frontal Brisbane River views of the New Year’s Eve fireworks at Alchemy at one of two sittings.

Cost: 5.30 pm to 7.30 pm sitting $98 per person or 8 pm to midnight $150 to $220 with matching wine at Alchemy.

Aria Brisbane

At Aria guests will be welcomed with a glass of champagne and canapes before enjoying a three-course menu and eye-popping fireworks from the panoramic windows.  Do browse their award-winning wine list too.

Blackbird

Ring in 2019 with five hours of Moet & Chandon, cocktails, spirits, beer and wine at Blackbird. Executive Chef Jake Nicolson will prepare canapés and food stations, and high-end live entertainment. It is a great place to view the two firework shows that light up the riverside in vibrant neon hues.

OTTO Brisbane

Enjoy an early three-course meal and Aperol Spritz on arrival at Otto before you go off to see the fireworks. At the later sitting you will receive champagne on arrival before enjoying head chef Will Cowper’s signature four-course Italian menu. There is coffee, tea and biscotti to finish. Reservations from 5:30pm.  Otto has a fabulous river view.
