Looking for Chermside accommodation that’s close to shopping, Brisbane’s major hospitals and the airport? I recently toured Adina Chermside Brisbane, a stylish new apartment hotel in suburban Brisbane that’s designed to feel more like home than a traditional hotel.
Adina Chermside Brisbane – My first impression
Sometimes you walk into a hotel and immediately know how you’re going to feel during a stay. That was my experience at the newly opened Adina Chermside Brisbane. Although it’s located in one of Brisbane’s busiest northern precincts, the atmosphere inside is remarkably peaceful. It’s a hotel that swaps glitz for understated elegance, with warm natural finishes, beautiful Australian bush-inspired artwork and thoughtfully designed spaces that instantly help you unwind. Whether you’re visiting Brisbane for business, shopping, medical appointments or simply looking for a comfortable base on the northside, Adina Chermside offers a refreshing alternative to a standard hotel room.
The first thing I noticed was the sense of calm. Natural stone, warm timber, earthy tones and artwork celebrating the Australian landscape give the hotel a relaxed sophistication that feels welcoming rather than intimidating. During the launch, I learnt that many of the design elements draw inspiration from the outback, with locally sourced stone, corrugated textures that reference rural Australia and colours reflecting the surrounding landscape. It’s a subtle connection to place that gives the hotel real personality.

A hotel designed around people
One message came through loud and clear during the opening: this hotel has been designed for community. Rather than simply creating somewhere for travellers to sleep, the vision was to create a place where people naturally come together.
The lobby, café and shared spaces encourage guests, locals, business travellers and hospital visitors to linger over a coffee or catch up with friends. That neighbourhood feel makes the hotel feel less like a commercial property and more like a welcoming part of Chermside. It’s an approach I really like.

Why the location matters
Location is one of Adina Chermside’s biggest strengths.
Being so close to Brisbane’s major hospital precinct makes it particularly valuable for families supporting loved ones through medical treatment. Instead of travelling across Brisbane each day or settling for ageing motel accommodation, visitors now have a stylish apartment-style option just minutes away.
It’s also ideally positioned for travellers who want everything within easy reach. Westfield Chermside is only a short stroll away, while Brisbane Airport and the CBD are both about 20 minutes by car.
For business travellers, holidaymakers or anyone flying in for a few days, it’s an incredibly convenient base.
Apartment-style comfort
One of the reasons I enjoy staying at Adina properties is that they feel much more like home than a hotel. Adina Chermside Brisbane offers 148 well-appointed studios, one-bedroom apartments and interconnecting two-bedroom family apartments.
Each apartment includes:
- A fully equipped kitchen
- Laundry facilities
- Separate living and dining areas
- Comfortable beds
- Modern bathrooms
- Complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi
Having extra space to spread out makes a noticeable difference, particularly for longer stays, and with hospitals close by, longer stays are common.

More than somewhere to stay
One feature that really stood out to me is the all-day café and bar. Apparently, this part of Chermside has been lacking a welcoming local café, so the hotel fills a genuine need for the surrounding community. I could easily picture hospital visitors grabbing a coffee between appointments, families catching up over breakfast or local residents making it their regular meeting place.
