BAVARIAN ALPINE DÉCOR

Renovated with the Munich bier hall legacy in mind, Munich Brauhas has really nailed the Bavarian alpine feel with the interior design. Think wooden log feature walls, bier barrels, high ceilings and communal food hall tables. Matched with traditionally dressed waiters, a live band and an epic line up of biers and German food, it’s no surprise that the venue aims to provide an Oktoberfest experience 365 days of the year.

Munich Brauhaus Brisbane joins a much-loved stable of Bavarian restaurants across the country, including Munich Brauhaus in Melbourne and Sydney, which are owned by Rockpool Dining Group.

Rockpool Dining Group Chief Executive Officer Thomas Pash said the launch offered a taste of things to come.

“We want to give guests an Oktoberfest experience that they won’t get anywhere else in the city,” Mr Pash said.

DAS BOOT – ONLY FOR THE BRAVE

There are 36 taps and 17 draught biers at Munich Brauhaus Brisbane, including pure Bavarian biers and a list of craft brews from Rockpool Dining Group subsidiary Urban Craft Brewing Co.

For the brave drinkers, there is the classic ‘Das Boot’ – one litre of your choice of bier served in a glass boot! An impressive list of schnapps served on paddles and accompanied by waiters with cowbells are a great way to start (or end) the night.

You’ll find Munich Brauhaus in Brisbane at 153 Stanley Street, South Brisbane.
