Introducing the newest five-star gem in the heart of CBD – The Star Grand Brisbane offering exciting levels of luxury and convenience in the $3.6B Queen’s Wharf Brisbane precinct.

With 340 exquisitely appointed rooms, this stunning hotel has breathtaking views of the Brisbane River and city and direct access to world-class restaurants, bars, and entertainment.

I had a sneak peek at two rooms – a River King Room and the fabulous Skyline Penthouse Suite in The Star Grand Brisbane in Queen’s Wharf Brisbane.

Step Inside a River King Room at The Star Grand

Enter the River King Room, and you’re welcomed by 40 square metres of luxury cleverly designed to offer both comfort and elegance. The sweeping view of the Brisbane River, visible through large windows that fill the room with natural light, is a total eye-catcher. A king bed in the centre of the room, dressed in The Star’s signature range of plush bedding and pillows, promises a restful night’s sleep.

A table and two chairs allow you to eat or catch up on work using the room’s complimentary wireless internet access. The room’s fully integrated control system lets you personalise your environment. There’s also a 55″ LCD television ready to entertain you, whether you’re catching up on the latest shows or simply unwinding after a day of exploration.

In the sleek, modern bathroom, you’ll find indulgent prestige bathing amenities that elevate your daily routine to a spa-like experience.

Take a look at the Skyline Penthouse Suite at The Star Grand Brisbane

At a whopping 217 square metres, this is where luxury decided to set up camp and never leave. It could be your new home away from home but with way better views, more space, and someone else to do the cleaning.

Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by a spacious open-plan lounge area that practically begs you to flop onto the couch and stay there. The dining area is perfect when you want to invite a crowd over or impress new relatives over a fancy dinner. Don’t worry about reheating those leftovers—you’ve got a butler’s pantry that hides all the mess.

If you can drag your eyes away from the view, there are not one, or even two, but three HD LCD televisions strategically placed throughout, so you’ll never have to miss a second of whatever show you’re binging.

The suite’s two bedrooms are where the magic really happens—sleep magic, that is. Each room features a king bed decked out in The Star’s signature luxurious bedding and pillows that are so comfortable that they might convince you to become a professional napper.

The main bedroom ensuite boasts a large, lavish bathtub with expansive river views, perfect for soaking away any remaining stress while you contemplate the meaning of life.

Both bathrooms also feature dual rain showerheads and hand-held showers, and of course, indulgent, prestige Karl Lagerfeld bathing amenities make you feel even fancier.

Located on levels 16 and 17, the Skyline Penthouse Suite isn’t just a room—it’s a destination with the sort of sweeping river that might make you forget that the outside world exists.

What else does The Star Grand Brisbane have to wow you?

The Star’s Leisure Deck at Queen’s Wharf Brisbane will not disappoint. This is where you can unwind by the swimming pools while enjoying exceptional views of the Brisbane River and South Bank in an area equivalent to two football fields.

The Star Grand Brisbane Sky Deck observation deck is where you feel like you’re soaring 100 metres above the city. If that’s not enough to impress, the open-air Leisure Deck sprawls out over, offering plenty of room to relax, swim, or just marvel at the fact that you’re still not getting any closer to your step count goal.

Let’s talk food at Queen’s Wharf Brisbane

The Star Brisbane isn’t just about sky-high views and sprawling decks, there’s also exciting new dining to discover.

There’s Sokyo, the signature Japanese restaurant where every bite is a masterpiece, and the sushi is so good it might just ruin all other sushi for you. Then, there’s a reimagined Fat Noodle by celebrity chef Luke Nguyen. When you’re ready for some entertainment, head over to LiveWire, the city’s new hotspot where the only thing more electrifying than the performances is the crowd’s energy. Don’t forget the Sports Bar where you can cheer on your team with a drink in hand while watching a screen the size of a small apartment.

From September to November, The Star Brisbane is set to unveil an exciting lineup of new dining experiences. The Terrace will become a culinary hotspot, featuring Cucina Regina for authentic Italian family dining, Lúc Lắc, the latest Southeast Asian venture from the Ghanem Group, and Azteca, a Latin American concept from Potentia Solution Leisure. The Terrace will also host a new iteration of Gambaro Group’s Black Hide Steak & Seafood, along with Dark Shepherd, offering Mediterranean-inspired dishes, and Pompette, a French champagne bar and restaurant by local dining powerhouse Tassis Group.

In addition, The Star Brisbane’s Sky Deck will debut three new venues starting in September: Cicada Blu, an open-air bar; Babblers, an all-day dining venue; and Aloria, an elevated dining destination perfect for those seeking something special.
