Indulge in ultimate relaxation with an Imperial Hotel Eumundi wellness stay. Expect daybed lounging, mineral spa soaking, and a fire pit. Previously known as HOLA, this stylish boutique accommodation is just a stone’s throw from the famous Eumundi Markets and the cool brewpub, Matso’s. What’s it like to stay there? Read this Imperial Hotel Eumundi wellness review.

Where is the Imperial Hotel Eumundi ?

Eumundi is located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland region of Queensland, Australia. It is approximately 21 kilometres southwest of Noosa Heads and about 118 kilometres north of Brisbane.

The town is best known for the bustling Eumundi Markets, held every Wednesday and Saturday. Here, you can buy everything you’ve ever wanted and some stuff you didn’t know you wanted until you saw it.

Beyond the markets, you could stroll down its main street, lined with boutique shops (maybe you’ll snag that perfect dress!) and cute cafes, or explore art galleries showcasing the work of talented local artists. An Imperial Hotel Eumundi wellness stay is the perfect way to explore the Eumundi region.

Imperial Hotel Eumundi wellness review

The Imperial Hotel Eumundi includes 15 rooms and extends over two, two-level buildings set back from the street with car parking underneath. The accommodation floors can be accessed via a lift or stairs. Verdant tropical landscaping is a strong feature, with hanging gardens adding a curtain of leaves over the windows of each room.

From the moment I stepped into this chic oasis, I was transported to a world of natural vibes, textured bliss and random art.

Room 11 – Imperial Hotel Eumundi Wellness Boutique Stay

I stayed in Room 11, where the unique collection included paintings, crystals, essences, paintings and textiles. Little touches, like the polished brass rail made on the Sunshine Coast to hang your clothes, and the diffuser made by Suzie Mansley to share the fragrance of bush flower essential oils into the room, add a special ambience to the room.

The furnishings were a mix of lightwood and exposed concrete, jazzed up with cosy rugs and brass accents. But the king-size bed, well, it’s like being cradled in a cloud! Beside the bed is a blue celestite crystal which encourages serenity and gentle, uplifting energy. Just what I’m looking for on this short stay.  Above the bed and in the hallway hangs artwork by Saren Dobkins, who lives in Tewantin.

And the bonus is beautiful bespoke coffee mugs by local potters Elke Lucas and Jedda Clay. These beautifully formed, functional pieces are just the thing to kickstart your morning with a side of artistic flair.

In the bathroom, the fragrant LEIF product range made with native ingredients was a feast for the senses. You can purchase these at CLO Studios in Lanyana Way, Noosa Junction.

I particularly liked opening the bathroom drawer and finding a GHD hairdryer! Plus, there are complimentary koala-shaped treats in the fridge, along with several non-alcoholic drinks.

Now, onto the tech side of things – the Internet was spot on for all my Netflix binges, and the connected smart television was a lifesaver for lazy evenings. Just log into your favourite apps, and don’t forget to log out.

With Wi-Fi slots and charging spots conveniently located by the bed, staying connected was a breeze.

Want to stay offline? There are plenty of interesting books scattered around the room to grab your attention. These come from Berkelouw Bookshop on the main street.

But here’s the kicker – having to shimmy out of bed to turn off the bedside lamp was a bit of a buzzkill. Still, it’s a small price to pay for an otherwise stellar stay!

More top marks for the quirkiest Do Not Disturb sign I’ve seen, although I wonder if “Grooming my chihuahua” is code for something else? It was created by Rene McGovern, who lives just down the street from the hotel.

There are two’ lounge’ areas if you are travelling with a group or want to relax outside your room. The space between the two buildings is where you’ll find the new wellness facilities – a magnesium rich mineral pool and a hot spa with jacuzzi jets. To help you make the most of the area, there are sun loungers and day beds.  Completing this oasis is a barbecue and fire pit.

He Says

The secure undercover parking was a big plus for me – it felt like my car was in a safe hideout. I also liked being away from the main road as meant the room was super quiet and peaceful, with no traffic or crowd noise disturbing our sleep. I appreciated the lush greenery and well-kept gardens surrounding the place.
